In 2010, Outagamie County passed an Energy Independent Community Resoluton, adopted a sustainability action plan and received a $492,000 block grant to complete efficiency projects. Three years later, usage statistics and annual energy spending show the investments are making an impact. The total heating, cooling and electric bills for the Outagamie County Justice Center, the county administration building and the airport, collectively, were $107,000 less in 2013 than in 2008.
