PSC Supports Biodigester for Northeast Wisconsin Manure

The Wisconsin Public Service Commission approved $15 million of Focus on Energy funds to go toward a $60.3 million private anaerobic digester in Brown County that will collect and treat 190 million gallons of manure generated by 2000 cattle across 9 dairy farms. The project name is Green Pastures Bio Energy Center. While the primary catalyst for the digester is to safeguard northeast Wisconsin’s drinking and surface water, it will produce enough biogas to heat over 7,000 homes. WIAgnewsJS
