Dairyland Power Cooperative has a 20-year agreement to purchase all of the power from EDP Renewables (EDPR) 98 MW Quilt Block Wind Farm just completed in Lafayette County. This project encompasses 49 two megawatt turbines that will produce enough energy to power approximately 25,000 homes. Landowners hosting the turbines will receive $23 million over the life of the project and Seymour Township and Lafayette County will receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual payments through a revenue sharing agreement with EDPR as well.
