The US Department of Energy partnered with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to launch The American-Made Challenge, a prize competition to accelerate development and innovation in the U.S. manufacturing and energy marketplace. $3 Million in prize funding will be available through a series of focused competitions, with the first prize centered on the solar industry.
The American-Made Solar Prize will connect entrepreneurs, technologists, software and hardware developers, incubators and accelerators, and investors with a range of solar developers, industry experts, and fabricators. This support network will provide access to cutting edge technologies and tools to expedite research and development. Additionally, the Solar Prize will provide seed funding and help teams generate connections to future sources of capital and financing beyond the funds awarded through the competition. Learn more
