Home Grown Energy at Viroqua Food Co-op

The Viroqua Food Co-op now hosts a 47 kilowatt rooftop solar array with design and project management by Ethos Green Power and installation by Phase Three Energy. The solar system is projected to produce 61,360 kilowatt hours annually to offset approximately 13 percent of the newly expanded co-op’s electricity needs. The Viroqua Food Co-op received a $25,000 grant from Focus on Energy’s Renewable Energy Competitive Incentive Program (RECIP) that covered nearly one quarter of the cost. The Co-op is offering stock as part of their Capital Campaign to help support the VFC Solar Power Project.  Viroqua Food Co-op
