EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator is an easy-to-use US-based tool that translates abstract energy and emissions reductions into concrete terms you can understand, such as annual emissions from cars, households, or power plants. EPA recently updated it and added three new equivalencies: Gallons of diesel consumed, trash bags of waste recycled instead of landfilled, and number of smartphones charged.
