SC Johnson’s Racine HQ to Go Geothermal

SC Johnson will power its headquarters in Racine, WI with geothermal energy by 2020 that will decrease energy consumption by an estimated 42 percent. The GeoExchange system will replace an inefficient boiler facility with an energy-efficient thermal plant. SC Johnson will continue to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by installing 13,000 square feet of solar PV panels on its buildings as well. The company has achieved a 62 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions worldwide from its 2000 baseline. Press Release
