H&H Solar recently completed the installation of a solar thermal system on the roof of the Milwaukee School of Engineering Public Safety Building.
The solar thermal system includes 14 flat plate solar panels and 3, 175-gallon tanks, and offsets approximately 60% of the building’s hot water use.
In addition to this impact, the project is being used by the Mechanical Engineering Department as a teaching tool to demonstrate how solar thermal systems work as well as how to evaluate the efficiency and efficacy of solar thermal systems.
