Dane County Renewable Natural Gas Facility: Powering A Clean Energy Future

John Welch, Director of Dane County Department of Waste & Renewables, explains the workings of the County’s state of the art renewable natural gas (RNG facility located at the Dane County landfill. This tour was part of a UW-Madison Extension training August 2019.  The County invested $28 million into the facility that converts methane gas from the landfill as well as biogas from farm digesters into RNG to fuel vehicles.
