IKEA Group plans to produce as much renewable energy as it consumes by 2020 globally, a goal it has achieved already in its Nordic stores. The first IkEA store in Wisconsin, that will open mid-May in Oak Creek just south of Milwaukee, is covered with 4,752 solar panels that will produce 2.1 million kilowatts of electricity annually.
