Solar Job Postings Up Sharply During Pandemic

Forbes did an analysis of data from Indeed, a jobs search site, that show a  69 percent increase in the share of solar- or wind-related job postings per million job postings from April, at the start of the pandemic to October 2020. With an increase in home remodeling and people working from home, residential solar PV installations were up 14% from Q2 to Q3 2020 (SEIA). Residential solar comprises only one fifth of US solar capacity (SEIA). While the majority of solar capacity added comes from the utility-scale solar sector, those projects create far fewer jobs than the residential solar sector. Forbes
