UW Health, worked with SunPeak to design a solar carport for its Eastpark Medical Center that opened in April 2024 in Madison. The structure contains more than 2,000 solar panels that provide shade for the top floor of the parking garage and clean energy to the adjacent medical facility.
The 1.1 MWdc system will produce about 1.2 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually and will fully offset the energy needs of the medical center’s state-of-the-art proton therapy equipment for cancer treatment. Click here to watch a short video from SunPeak to learn more about the project.
