In taking up the budget of the Public Service Commission (PSC), the Joint Finance Committee voted to cut public funding for the Citizens Utility Board (CUB), a nonprofit organization that advocates for lower electricity rates for Wisconsin residents in PSC cases. Additionally, funding for other environmental and citizen groups that oppose power lines and advocate for renewable energy was reduced.
