A $2.3 million solar panel project that is underway at Madison College is expected to be the largest rooftop solar project in Wisconsin once it’s complete. In total, 5,000 panels will line the rooftops of some buildings at the Truax Campus. Once the panels are up and running, the project is expected to save the school $200,000 in electricity costs per year, meaning students will essentially end up paying less tuition and taxpayers will benefit.
