Madison College 2.86 MW Solar Dedication

Madison College Solar PV system ribbon cutting where Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes joins Madison College President Dr. Jack Daniels, MGE CEO Jeff Keebler, and Madison College professor Ken Walz in flipping on inverters. The ribbon cutting was attended by clean energy businesses and organizations, the Madison College Board, and students. The rooftop solar array, installed by SunVest Solar, saves the tech college $200,000 annually on electricity bills and trains a solar workforce already in high demand.

Attending the dedication, pictured on the solar roof sporting SunVest sunglasses, were 5 people who work to promote the clean energy transition: Bill Bailey of Cheq Bay Renewables, Niels Wolter of Madison Solar Consulting, Don Wichert on RENEW Board, Sherrie Gruder of UW-Madison Extension, and Ken Walz, Madison College Professor and solar project director.
