Safer At Home Extended Through May 26

Governor Evers issued Emergency Order #28 that extends the Safer at Home Order from April 24 through May 26 (see Energy On WI Power Briefing: COVID-19, March 2020) based on science and public health experts.  Given the original projections, staying at home has saved between 300-1,400 Wisconsin lives.  This order does begin to allow some businesses and activities to start up slowly including optional exterior work that is performed by a single person. It contains changes to help make businesses safer for employees and customers as well.

Critical Trades include: Building and Construction Tradesmen and Tradeswomen, and other trades including but not limited to plumbers, electricians, carpenters, laborers, sheet metal, iron workers, operating engineers, HVAC, and other service providers who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences, Essential Activities, Essential Governmental Functions, and Essential Businesses and Operations.
