Stimulus Bill Does Not Directly Fund Renewable Energy

The $2T Stimulus Bill passed unanimously by the Senate on March 26 did not contain relief or direct funding for the renewable energy sector.  Power sector leaders acknowledge that the small business and unemployment loans in the stimulus package will be helpful to some energy businesses. The bill creates a $367 billion loan program for small businesses, delivers $500 billion in corporate aid, and gives $1,200 to individuals making less than $75,000 per year. utilitydivefortune
