Colocating Agriculture and PV – U of I $10 million Study

The University of Illinois will do field research on agrivoltaics as a means to maintain or increase crop yield, increase the food and energy productivity of the land, and increase farmers’ profits. Through a $10 million grant over four years, farmers and industry eperts will provide input in the discovery process of how to optimize a shared landscape that will address perceptions of competition for land between uses . U of I Extension will lead outreach activities for the research and implementation. Herald-whig
