Volkswagen plans to begin manufacturing the ID.3 in November, its first mass-production all-electric, zero-emissions vehicle. Not available in the United States, more than 30,000 preorders of this five door hatchback have been placed with the first round of deliveries set for summer of 2020. The ID.3 will be offered in three different battery sizes: a 45-kWh battery with a range of 205 miles, a 58-kWh battery with a range of 261 miles, and a 77-kWh battery with the maximum range of 342 miles. A 30 minute 100kW quick charge should provide enough energy for nearly 180 miles of travel. Volkswagen pledged to keep the price of the 45-kWh vehicle below $33,000. It will release an SUV in the U.S. by 2020. Motor1
