All businesses and residents unable to pay their energy bills as a result of the economic impacts of the COVID-19 virus will not be disconnected from electricity, natural gas and water thanks to Emergency Order #11 issued by Governor Evers. On Sunday, March 22, the Public Service Commission Administrative Rule Suspensions were quickly acted on by PSC Chair Valcq who directed Wisconsin’s public utilities to cease any disconnections and to reconnect without fees to customers that had stopped receiving services. This includes commercial, industrial and farm businesses. She issued a number of directives, including arranging for deferred payments, that will not further financially strain Wisconsin’s businesses and residents while they are not able to work during the COVID-19 health emergency. weau
