Leading Edge cohort: Applications due

The Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) thorugh the Department of Housing and Urban Development provides direct loans and grants to fund projects that improve energy, water efficiency, or climate resilience of affordable housing. There are three funding opportunities within this program.

Elements cohort: Applications due July 31, 2024.

The Elements cohort is open to properties that are in the midst of a recapitalization transaction that includes utility efficiency, renewable energy, carbon emission reduction, and/or climate resilience measures. Elements funds can be used to add or preserve specific green or resilient items in the property’s scope of work.

Leading Edge cohort: Applications due April 30, 2024.

The Leading Edge cohort is open to property owners in planning recapitalization and are interested in green certification. It provides funds for construction and transaction costs associated with achieving the qualifying green certification.

Comprehensive cohort: Applications due May 30, 2024.

The Comprehensive cohort is designed for properties that are not yet in the process of financing a project and have high efficiency and resilience needs. Awardees will get help evaluating their properties for energy and climate resilience investments that makes sense for them. \
